PLEASE do NOT shave while driving down the Interstate

I have a question. Why are lawmakers pushing for all states for talking on a cell phone without handsfree while driving to be illegal (in NY where I live, it already is), but smoking while driving is okay? I mean, I never smoked, and never will, but it has to be more distracting than talking on a cell phone. What if the cigarette drops and burn your crotch, while driving? Either get a toasty sack, or try and dig it out. If I drop my cell phone, I can just pick it up later, what gives?

I never look in the mirror when I'm shaving with my electric anyways. Most of the time I have it sitting by the door so I can grab it on my way out and shave while I walk to the car.

Seems like human life is worthless. Kill someone, go to jail for a couple of years.
Steal big from a company and go to jail for life. 🙁

Also bad is talking on a cell phone, typing on a laptop, reading a paper, and trying to drink something - all at the same time. (not tried it but it's been done by others). :|

<-- isn't even comfortable messing with the A/C, tape player, or the buttons for the little screen that displays gas mileage and other info.

Personally, to me, that's not a good thing either. It sounds to me that you are uncomfortable driving and not confident in your skills and that would make me just as nervous as the guy reading a book while driving.

It's partly because I only turned 16 recently, and have been driving about 4 months. Also, the car is different from the one I started learning on, so I'm not that familiar with it. On the old car, I was more comfortable with the controls because I could use them w/o taking my eyes off the road. 😱

Nah, I've shaved with an electric before, no biggie... I've eaten dinner too, just made sure to cut all the steak into bite size pieces so I don't have to cut it while driving. Talk on the cell phone regularly (send text messages too), look for and switch CD's, radio station too. It's really not that hard, just be sure you're in the right lane and concentrating on driving as well.
