I am in a rather unique situation, I believe. I got my two laptop computers running fine with the Internet (Comcast is the provider) wirelessly, but I cannot get my desktop to connect to the Internet, or the router's configuration "page", either. It is connected via the first slot and the network shows that it is there, but information is not going back and forth for the desktop.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this network newb? I'd appreciate anything!

It sounds like your computer is not able to obtain an IP address. Run the Command Prompt and type "ipconfig /renew" to see if anything pops up. If nothing comes up try changing ports on the router because the current port you are using might be broken.
