I would think that coming through the Military systems, they might be able to take some action based on that alone. Wait to hear back from the Military about this.

i would agree, however this fool will not quit, I could always beat him down but then I have my record and service for the past 20+ years that will be on the line.
 
Yeah, don't kick his ass ... why not just direct his emails to an archived folder, then take all of them to the police (or MP or whoever) and get it dealt with. Harassment is harassment.
 
If your friend really doesn't just want ignore the guy, if it's genuine a threat is a threat. Cops. Uttering a threat in person, telephone, letter, email is still illegal last time I checked.
 
as I have said, we have already been to the police and they do not want to do anything, they say he hasn't done anything yet. The MP's are useless in a situation like this, at this point we really have nonething left to do.
 
Restraining order. Then the police WILL listen if he violates it in the future.

Who cares if they WANT to do anything, insist on filing a complaint, if they refuse to let you then talk to a superior. As was said, harassment is harassment, and whether or not the cops feel like getting off their asses and looking into it doesn't matter, if a law has been broken even in the smallest degree, you have the right of filing a complaint and having it looked at.

I would hope the same goes for the military, don't bother with the Internet whoever guys, obviously they don't care as long as your connection works, go talk to someone who works in a legal capacity, and explain that this guy is a serious threat, having known him and his background, and the fact that he was kicked out should be proof enough that he's a bad egg. Somewhere along the line there'll be someone who looks into it.

You've got some funny laws in your area if the law states a threat isn't illegal on its own. Maybe go up the chain if you can.

Here in California the cops say that they cannot do anything about this. Above are the clean comments from the jerk in question. Yes I have the Mail Internet Headers and have his IP number, I didn't want to stoop to his level and start useing it though.

If that's the extent of it, what does your friend have to worry about? Short of him stating that he will commit physical harm against your friend, there is a limitation on what the law can do here.

It's simple really, create a filter to delete the messages as they arrive and pay no attention to them. The MPs can't do anything to a person who is no longer in the military, so he's playing a good game here. In any case, just don't pay attention to the assclown.

So what about her carreer is she hiding if she's getting up by those emails? Surely she's not gonig to lose her carreer over a crazy guy sending lots of emails?

If he's full of crap, then what's the big deal? Just delete them.
