Please critique this webpage. It's for a Non-Profit Organization.

My cousin has established a non-profit organization and had a webpage put together. He asked me to critique it and I have noted some comments but I thought I'd ask the real webmasters what they think.

Consortium for the Advancement of Art and Education

This weekend they have a front page article on the Charlottesville Paper and are expecting some heavy traffic. He also mentioned putting a webboard up and I mentioned Zuni's FuseTalk as an option. Mostly he just wants ideas and any comments you can find with the page.

The first thing I noticed was that the text on the main.html page isn't spaced correctly but that may be due to the fact that I'm on a 14" monitor at the moment. Anyway give this site your best effort and give me suggestions and they will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Also any ideas about what to do to "spif" it up a little would be great also.

text on left side looks bad, make it smaller. allign it better. do not make that initial screen a jump screen, either make the user click or dont have it at all. is he using 800X600? there seems to be an excess of white space on the screen. its a nice clean look, but it needs a little more organization and a tad bit more content.

I agree DAM. I don't know who designed it but it was for free. There is just something about white background that I don't like but with their navy blueish symbol white seems to be the only color to go with??

Eeek. It needs to be better organized. It seems sort of sloppy.

The text on the left side needs to be aligned differently...

It's a good start tho.

Thanks for the help guys. I may just save the html file and redo it myself in some spare time and send it to him.
