My opinion from last thread:

Get a Lite-on CDRW instead.
Maxtor and IBM are better than WD.
Thats a weak video card for the system if you plan to game.

Why a bloody P4? Its terrible for a budget.

2200+ for an Intel?;)

[*]You don't need the Thermalcrap HSF, stick with the one that comes with the retail 1.6a
[*]Use the 42.00 you saved to get the Radeon 8500 instead
[*]Get the Liteon 32x12x40 for 3.00 more
[*]Get Samsung Original PC2700 and save ~40.00
[*]Are you going to use integrated sound?
[*]Speakers?
[*]Windows 3.11?:D

Thanks Scouzer :)

OK Lite-on better. Will change that.:)
Now the WD drives I have in other systems are very quite and have never failed so I'll stick with what I know and like for now.

Which video card is decent for around $150 max? I really don't want to spend more than that.

Bloody p4'a is very overclockable. Check oout some of the OC's people are getting from them. Basically you get a $500 chip for $140. Plus it's cooler running than AMD are right now.

For OC this is suffencient? in a 1.6a OC you can only bump the FSB and I would like to achive 160mhz so I thought the higher rated mem would be better?

[*]Are you going to use integrated sound?
Yes, comes with cmedia 6 channel which is decent?

[*]Speakers?
Yes I have altec lansing 641's

[*]Windows 3.11?:D

Just say no
:p

Get the Hercules 128MB Radeon with DVI, TV Out for 130 shipped from newegg. Or maybe a GF4 Ti4200 for under 150... I'd personally get the Radeon though.

The Corsair you were looking at is PC2700, and so is the Samsung Original. It is rated to do 166MHz, but most will do 180+MHz. My Samsung Original PC2700 does 200MHz.

Get the Samsung (they make eveything now BTW:)) for $170
Get the Liteon
Get the 8500
Get retail P4
And get more games:)

Total is 1484 with a 17" Very good NEC LCD:)

Would you change the case? $135 is a lot:( but I've heard the x-tra power helps and that case is rock solid?

That case is a sweet piece of equipment. Even though the powersupply is overkill for what you are going to be using it for now, it will hold you over for years to come. The only bad thing is that Antec charges a premium for their cases. You could pick up a Chieftec (Antec in desquise) for half price and comes with a 420w Channel Well (Antec) psu.
