There is basically no content up yet. In the photo section im using a slideshow photo component that is pretty cool. Pictures should be up later tonight. What do you think of the design? This site is in no way meant to get jobs, its just to show my photo and web work.

looks good, center it in the page for a more distributed look, white over gray doesn't look good for the links in the pictures section on top.

I think you should perhaps keep the transitions across the site similar. The wipe is good... but why isn't it the case for web and contact ? Or did you plan to ?

Secondly, I personally like horizontal layouts rather than vertical. Width is always the better constant.

Other than that, nice color tones.

iwearnosox: What resolution you using. 1280x1024 is way too small. 800x600 makes it way to big. I can set it so the flash will scale with the window (making it approximately the same size regardless of the resolution, but when i do that the fonts look horrible at 800x600 for some reason).

AgaBooga: I agree white over grey doesnt look good. Unfortunately im not too good at graphic design, and havent been able to make anything better looking. Also, i didnt build the website in the most profficent way (im fairly new to flash), so to change the buttons would be sorta time consuming... probably something I will change in the near future.

rh71: I didnt do the wipe for the other pages because i really dont have a lot of content for the other pages. I was planning on just putting links in the "web" section to sites I have made (which is just this portfolio and one other). That would easily fit in the small box. And if I were to do wipes for each section, it would never unwipe... therefor it would never need to wipe... Basically I would have to change a lot of the design. Do you have any ideas? Cause i think it would be cool to have the wipe effect for each page...

"Secondly, I personally like horizontal layouts rather than vertical. Width is always the better constant."

You think I should make it wider?

ALSO, could people who view the site tell me what resolution, OS, and browser they are using, and if it looked okay at those given specs.

Seems to work fine in IE and Opera. Could make it larger to take advantage of space.

Agreed.

And the comment about making it fit the page better. So much wasted space makes the children cry!

Wow. A page designed with flash that's actually usable. It looks good to me, but like other people pointed out, it's a little small on my 1280x1024 desktop.

There is a lot i could do to improve upon it. But right now my only concern is making sure it looks good at all reasonable resolutions, and on all OS's/ Browsers. I'm gonna stick with the design that i have now. Right now the viewer has to scroll down if their monitor is at 800x600, i dont want that... Making the flash scale with the window messes up the fonts though. Any flash gurus out there?

Too small. I don't like how you go from one scene to the next with the (now) very overdone, "walking line" motion. Also the drastic change in format for the gallery I don't like. Site should be consistant. The gallery should be made to suit the main design, not change the design totally. Colors are nice and it is very clean, which is very good.
