Hello...long time reader, first time poster

Anyway, I'm finally about ready to build my next system. I'm got it pretty much narrowed down, just a few things to work out before I pull the trigger.

Proposed build:

MB - Epox EP-9NDA3J
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 939 Winnie *or* 3200+
RAM - 2*512 Corsair PC3200 Value Select
Case - Antec SLK3700-BQE *or* Antec Sonata
HSF - Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu

I'm reusing everything else from my current system( HD, video card, optical drives, etc.)

So the main questions are the CPU and the case. Is it worth going for the 3200 over the 3000?

My main concern with the SLK3700 is the PSU. It'll handle what I have now, but I don't want to have to replace it down the road if I add drives. I like the Sonata as well, but I don't want to wait for Newegg/ChiefValue to bring it back down to $100. Any other suggestions for a quality quiet case?

Thanks everyone...

Personally I like the Raidmax case, but the Antec case is a much better deal.
As for the CPU, it depends on the price. They have been flucuating quite abit lately on the 3000+ in particular. If you can get the 3200+ for <$200, I'd get it.

Monarch has the 3200+ for only $169, but they also have the 3000+ for $129. I think I'll go with that.

As far as the case, I'm leaning toward the Antec SLK.

Thanks guys.

Just throwing in my two cents.

I've got the same mobo with a 3000+ in the Sonata. No problems so far, the loudest things in it right now are my old hd (didn't realize the whine was so "loud") and the chipset fan on 9NDA3J. Thinking of replacing it with a passive heatsink since I have a front fan installed in the Sonata. (Hopefully it'll keep it cool enough)

Let us know if the Zalman fits well on the cpu and mobo. I'm curious how much better than stock it'll cool. :)
