It looks like a great build for video editing/rendering.

Is amazon cheaper than the egg for these parts? I know a few days ago newegg had that tower for $70 shipped after a rebate. Then again, you clearly have an insane budget with 12gb of ram and a gtx480... oh yah, and that processor.

For some reason, I found Amazon easier to post pics. My good friend informed me rendering for h264 will be shifted to the gpu. It sounds like I should dump the 980x and concentrate on a higher end graphics card.

considering almost all of your components are top-of-the-line, I would suggest a better ssd to match the performance of all the other components.

Thanks but what about my cooling setup? Won't my video card need cooled?
Also, what is the best way to back up my files? Thanks a lot.
