I need 512 ram so it has that, but how's the speed? Batt life? Screen? Certainly looks nice🙂 Is this a good deal or is thier better? so many choices...Primarly to be used to watch movies on raod trips and inside plane... maybe a few games...but strategy not FPS..

Newegg is wrong about speed, as usual, it's 2.16GHz not 1.6 as they say.

Also It it possible to install windows2000 over the XP? I don't know XP
 
Yeah, you can format XP and install 2000, that'll also get rid of all the crappy HP software, which is really good. Don't plan on playing too many games (especially newer ones) on that crappy graphics card, though...
 
I would recommend you buy an HP/Compaq directly from them if you're interested in their line (most of the models are the same, with just a different outer shell, despite all the weird names). For the specs listed, you can get the R3000Z for much cheaper. Plus, buying a laptop from newegg is really full of bad news if it arrives DOA -- they'll basically tell you to ah heck off.
