...I don't post for a week because my parents have killed me: just got my report card today: 3.35 GPA!!!!

I've never gotten below a 3.5 ever since 8th grade and my parents expect me to keep on doing better each year. I've procrastinated so much by going online and I've been yelled at before....but I can't help it...anandtech is so addictive. so now I'm gonna give the report card to my parents to let them see (and scream).

btw, I remember there was a program that would limit internet/computer time by shutting the comp (or disconnecting from the internet) after a certain amount of time - does anyone know of a program like that because I REALLY need it.

grade scale:

4.5 A+
4 A
3.5 B+
3 B
2.5 C+
2 C
1.5 D+
1 D

and there are weighted classes so the highest you can get is a 5.5. so does that mean my school's grade scale is really 5.5 for 4.5?

AOL has an online timer in parental controls that will only allow you to be for a certain amount of time each day.

A B.....your parents killed you because of a B....First off, a 3.5 GPA avg. is not good enough to get into MIT if you do not do any school activities or if you have an Avg. score on the SAT. So if your parents are expecting you to go to MIT, they would of killed you a long time ago. Tell them that....

where I am, we dont have GPA, just % scores.

90-100 = A+
80-89 = A
70-79 = B
60-69 = C
50-59 = D
00-49 = E

Pretty simple. My parents are instituting a 10:30 bedtime (I know, how gay) if I don't get a 3.6. I'm not getting a 3.6 Probably like a 3.57 or somewhere around there. Knowing my parents, that's not good enough.
