guy my dad knows died this past weekend while out cruising. he was alive in the helicoptor so he was able to talk to the paramedics and tell them everything that happened and what not. he was wearing a helmet i believe, but not sure on the leathers. he had been riding since he was 16, and was currently i believe about 40, so it wasnt lack of experience. he used to go cruising out to cali and all that with his brothers. he hit a woodchuck. thats all. he hit a woodchuck and died because it was on the highway. his insides were torn up and he died as he went into surgery.

i know that, but you still have to know that it could happen to anyone anytime. and wearing all gear wont save you, and its not just the inexperienced who die.

My dad gave it up after a crash when we were young. His brother also died in a motorcycle crash.

Oh god man, I can't believe he died like that. Since he was able to talk, I'm hoping that was a sign that he wasn't in too much pain.

A good friend my dad knows that used to do a lot of voluntary community service died because he hit a pothole on his bike, so I was expecting it to be something like the same as soon as I heard, "It wasn't due to inexperience."

Since he's already gone, hopefully your dad will be ok.

just today while skating along a highway bike path, about 15 sportbikes go by, at least 5 of them doing wheelies at highway speeds.
