For example, I have three young children and a puppy. I can get 60 Two Ply,100 sheet, paper towel rolls for $1.10 delivered.

Should I? I mean I know I'll use them, but is that good general budgeting practice?

As with any OT thread, I reserve the right to ignore your good advice and do whatever the hell I want.

It makes sense for TP, paper towels, canned and most bottled goods.

It can be stupid with perishables including condiments, for example a monster jar of mayo could go nasty before you finish it.

Also consider coupons and reading the store flyers for specials: if you are organized enough to use them you can save enough on regular sizes that they are cheaper.

I'm too lazy to do any of the above.

yeah me too.. I intend to find everything online at the cheapest possible price.. I'll think I'll go ahead and get these, the least it will do will confuse and annoy my wife. That's worth $60 right there.

Costco FTW :)

Sure you spend $50 for membership... But hey, if you buy a lot, you save a lot.

Or, if you really are on a tight budget, bulk is the way to go. But if you got money to spare, go check your local newspaper ads.

Ha you've fallen into my circuitous hot-deal-logic trap.

There's an $8.95 shipping charge on orders from that vendor under $75
The link is to a case of 30 rolls so buy two cases for $28.72 +$8.95 shipping divide by 60...

:D...

I have permanently banned myself from the hot deal forum, I think I caught it at stageI and there might not be permanent damage.

I can't think of anything that I COULD use it for that would exhibit a better return than not having to buy paper towels for a few months.. though I'm open to ideas...

Honestly I don't think I get my money's worth out of it... I'm better served buying groceries at Trader Joes, and not being tempted by the other stuff... I don't believe I've EVER walked out of Costco for under $100, even when I just went to get salmon...
