All of a sudden the Forums are not recognizing the fact that I am a subscriber.

I have already sent 2 emails regarding this. I went by the rules but no response.

Please....

There is no spoon.

I know they lost thier mail server about a week ago and some other things were screwy, maybe something happened during that.

Jadnoff, the only way the forums would remove your account is if your account expired? There is a task that runs nightly and removes accounts if they are expired, and only if they are expired. If you sent it to the subscriber people they'll respond but not within 2 days it typically takes a week or so to get a response.

A week to get a response for a paid service? C'mon, of ALL the contact points that one ought to be a priority.

It would seem like if a script is used to remove subscribers right away there sure should be one that will add one right away. Your subscription run out? your gone. Want a subscription, well, I dont know what to say, we will get around to it when we have a little time. Great business plan.

Of course we have code to add a subscriber, but we also have to check into when they purchased etc and thats in someone elses hands. So before you haul off on people, know the facts please :)

EVERYONE is sent a reminder script as well that says your subscription is about to renew, go here to renew it. Any user can go back at ANYTIME and also just purchase a new subscription its all e-comm based its instant.

Well, since the purpose of this forum has been changed (or clarified) to specifically be moderator/user issues, I think complaining about response times should go here. :) Besides, Anand isn't going to change anything for the better just because I suggest it.

It should be noted that your account doesn't renew automatically, you HAVE to manually do it, and it is immediate when you do that. Checking into why someone's account is broken (not just expired) can't be automated.

Here's the problem.

I received an email on June 16 that my subscription was going to expire on June 30. I immediately "re-upped" and got a new expiration date of July 2004. It even showed on the subscription information at the top of the page.

All of a sudden the data base must have gotten sick because it no longer shows me as a subscriber. I have a feeling that it saw that it saw the June 30 date and some how kicked me off.

Here is a post I entered on 6/21;

"Mine runs out in 374 days".

I've had a problem like this before in the past, and I actually got an E-mail from Anand saying that my subscription had been fixed. It was weird that he actually replied to my e-mail, but I felt special :D
