I just, impulsively, BID and "won" a new Video Card at UBid - - - It is a VisionTek Geforce 2 GTS 32MB DDR;
I just put together this new 'puter with an NForce Mobo and am satisfied with the on-board graphics, which is about equivalent to an Nvidia Geforce 2 MX 400, anyway it works better than what I had, BUT, my plan was to wait until after the GF 4's drive down prices of the GF 3's then plug in a GF 3.
NOW - my plans have changed some, I will be receiving this new card which will out perform my integrated video BUT - FINALLY - my question:
I believe the Drivers on the CDROM that will come with this new card are like 7X; Should I install the card and then install the Drivers off of the CDROM and then go on the Net - to UPGRADE the Drivers? I probably go to Nvidia, right, and look for latest drivers that will work with the GF 2 GTS RIGHT?

Please Advise of the correct way to go with this new BUT old card?

Thank You! Michael

Download the latest drivers off of the web AHEAD of time... then when you boot up on the new card, point windows to the folder where the drivers are located... this will make the install a lot more painless.

I have that card. Not using it right now because I have the R 8500, but it is a good one. Download NVmax and OC it. It ran Max Payne and Serious Sam very well.
