Please advise: My soundcard is too "quiet"

Here's the deal: I'm using my onboard sound right now. I'm pretty sure it's a VIA audio controller. It seems much to quiet to me.

My problem is the level of sound coming out of the headphone/line out. When I turn the volume up all the way (on the computer media player), I have to turn the volume way up on my receiver. When I try to hook up my computer to my 120 WPC amp, I can turn the gain on the amp up all the way, and it still isn't unbearable. If I hooked up a cd player or dvd player (with analog connections), it just about causes deafness.

Are there any soundcards with more powerful preouts? I can't find any ratings for the outputs on any of the current soundcards. Or, is there any way to boost the sound output of my setup?

Edit- Never mind, I've found a solution.
