Hi all,
I'd like to install the Windows 10 technical preview to an external drive.

My desktop at the moment only has USB 2 (too slow for running an OS from?),
so I'm up for buying an interface card as necessary. On Newegg, I see a
myriad of desktop external and portable drives. What should I be looking at?
desktop external/eSata (or USB3?)

Appreciate any pointers.

Esata would stand a better chance than USB3 at stability - assuming you have an esata port! but I agree with Blain - just throw it on a spare internal drive or SSD it! Don't forget to remove your current o/s to prevent partition overwrite of your current o/s.
