Hi all,

Please advice on video card for my new system I'm building. I know it's low budget for video card these days, but that's what I can afford at this moment. So please advice on best option at this price range. Thank You.

No multiple GPU's in any near future.

IV. Have you previously looked at a product(s) which you feel would fit your needs?
Was looking at Asus GeForce GTX 550 Ti

V. What are your needs for this GPU? Which games(If any)do you intend to play? If you have this information at hand, what are the desired detail levels?
Going to be playing some games, mostly Counter Strike: GO, but also will be playing some new games as well, like Bioshock and others.

VI. Do you plan on overclocking the card you intend to purchase?
NO.

I looked around as well, and looks like in this price range, my best bet is HD 7770. Would you recommend any brand in particular, maybe witch one is more reliable, witch ones to avoid? And witch HD 7770 would be more quiet.

Thank You.

I wish I could get the better one. But it was same with every component in this build, so I'm way over budget now. I'm even thinking to go down to 6670 now. Is there huge difference between 6670 and 7770 exept PCI-e 2.1 vs PCI-e 3?

The 7770 is twice as fast or faster than the 6670 depending on the game.

You should be happy with the DCII. You're better off checking the 7850 thread and see what people have to say about the overclocking. I know you said you weren't interested in overclocking the card but a factory OC'd card is hardly worth the price premium.

That one is fine. As far as I know that is the same cooler they use on their 7870 model so it should cool no problem.

Thanks everyone for advice I already ordered Asus HD 7850 DirectCU II V2 2048MB. For £164.00 shipped.

I think Asus quality might be better than MSI, I might be mistaking. And I can overlock it easily, and the size is not an issue for me with Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus case.
