Playstation to USB adapter?

Hey,

I'm looking to buy a gamepad for my PC and I was thinking about getting one of these adapters because I already have a ps2 controller. I was wondering if anybody had any advice about whether or not to get it, or which brand to get? I've heard concerns about lag, locking up etc, so I want to make sure I get a decent one.

I'll probably be playing mostly mario-esque games...i.e., old school stuff that doesn't really require anything more complicated than, say, a SNES controller.

I have the Radio Shack USB to Playstation 2 adapter from the hot deal earlier this year. They were on clearance for $5.00 a pop, and are WELL worth it. In fact, they're the first (and last) useful thing ever sold at Radio Shack.

All buttons work and are mappable in games, and analog works too. Unfortunately, rumble is not supported, but oh well. No drivers required.

The part number is 26-247.

I just snapped a pic for you. 🙂

Radio Shack makes one that is cheap and good, I use it for MAME gaming

edit: yeah, what Mr. Gates said 🙂
