Playstation Store Thursday (2/18) - Yakuza 3 & Sonic Racing demos, Capcom & Ubi sales

Sony has updated the US Playstation Blog with this week's PSN Store releases for the Playstation 3 and the PSP. Hot items include the Yakuza 3 demo for the PS3 and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 for the PSP. Sony's experiment with a game tester reality show also makes its debut this week with the first episode of "The Tester".

bought Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Resident Evil 5 Lost In Nightmares. Played RE5 LIN, beat it within an hour. I liked it, but it was just way too short.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Demo wasn't that bad. I may pick this one up later when the price drops.

It could just be that I don't like the Yakuza style, but the demo was horribly meh when I played it a few months ago.

Yakuza wasn't too bad. I never played the previous games but this seemed like a more open "Die Hard Arcade" with the fighting and using stuff in the environment for weapons. Graphics are a bit low res but thats not a deal killer for me if the game has lots of content.

The Sonic racer seems alright. I'm not fond of the character choices but thats the old school Sega fan in me. I would rather have more classic characters like Joe Musashi, a Golden Axe character, Wonder Boy..etc but then I realized that today's Sega fans may have no clue who they are. <sniff> I appreciate the inclusion of Opa Opa and Alex Kidd.

Yakuza is an open-world brawler, with RPG-esque elements. Kind of a more violent Shenmue.
