Where are the Playstation Network cards found at? The article below was found on Wikipedia, now if they sell in these types of retail stores...WTF ?

I found this article on Wikipedia....

SCEA originally announced that the cards would be available in Spring 2008. The cards have been limited to Meijer stores and select military bases. As of September 2008, PlayStation Network Cards are available at Blockbuster, Rite-Aid, and 7-Eleven stores across the United States. The PlayStation Network Cards are availble in $20 and $50 denominations.

I was reading on GAF that the reason they are taking long to roll out is that the cards aren't pre-loaded like Wii and 360 cards. They actually get activated at the store and loaded when swiped so all these retailers need to get connected to Sony somehow. One of the GAF guys works at Gamestop and says they are targeting mid-2009 for getting the system to work there.

Ok, why don't they just release the pre-loaded cards now and then come out with the "custom" cards later when their systems are online. It just doesn't make sense. Well at least for regular people. For the nuts at Sony, I'm sure it makes perfect sense.

And if you need any proof on how truly insane Sony is, take a look at the pricing on their XBR8s and even worse, their 70" XBR7 LCDs. :Q

Yea, these Network cards is the only way I will be purchasing anything from the Network. Although very secure, something makes me feel uneasy about credit or debit information on the PS Network.

They need to come out NOW !
