I think they want everyone on at that time, but I think you can still use it past tonight.
No, I meant that typically if it's version "1.0", then that would be the initial release of the product. Doesn't make sense to designate a beta product as 1.0, but I guess they can number it however they please.

well technically, you can refer to it as Home 1.0 RC1.

The big thing with Home, is the client being stable. But as with the download size, that's hardly much of an issue.
The big thing is, I'd guess they are very confident that it is a stable client now, but want to stress test the servers. Also, the servers themselves are offering limited functionality, so it seems that most of the content will be server-side as to whether it's a mess or not.
Oh, and yeah, I got accepted too. However, I don't have a 360 listed in my account.

Recently they have been liking me. For not getting into quite a few betas, they then gave me a Killzone 2 beta key, and yesterday got a Home key.
My take: It's definitely an interesting concept, and is a cool addition to PSN. With it staying free, I will change my comment to Home being an amazing addition to PSN.
🙂
However, it's not something I'll ever put a lot of time into. Maybe if I get that controller keypad Sony will be releasing soon, then I'll put a little more time into it, but pointlessly socializing in a virtual world seems utterly boring to me. But, it has some great ideas, that once Home is fully fleshed out, could be both cool and useful. For instance, the theater, mall, and arcade could be really sweet once fully fleshed out for the large community. Right now, doing anything in the Arcade is almost impossible due to amount of machines/bowling lanes compared to the number of players. And while the bowling is far from being anything other than a bulletpoint, as it's just meh, it's a cool little thing to do while keeping the true bowling-alley nature going on: talking with text or voice chat with quite a few other people nearby while casually playing is a neat idea.
I will say though, that I am very excited for the game-staging ability of Home, once they get that up. Obviously it's game-dependent, so the games that make use of Home will help add a great feature. That, and specific game rooms will be neat, with the possibility of some offering some great features. For example, Warhawk's room is supposed to have a sand-table-like feature where you can visually depict a strategy amongst your team before launching into the game. These kind of virtual-lobby style rooms will be a great addition.
