Playstation controller to PC adapter

Look at these products: -

PS to PC Adapter

Yet another PS to PC Adapter

Both products claim to allow you use of any official Sony playstation controllers PS1, PS2, Dual Shock on the PC.

I must admit, I got all excited when I found this product, but then I realised that I better check with you guys to find out about any horrible hidden suprises.

So, if anybody knows, are they as good as they sound? (Please say "yes").

I'm interested, but:

The d-pad is always mapped to buttons (not the X-Y axes) so dance mats will work with this adapter

doesn't sound to good.
Although here it seems to be ok.

I also worry about the:

USB (1 or greater)

I think that means USB 1. 0

sounds cool though, please post if you get one.

(side note)I recently bought a knock-off NES controller for $2.45 + $4.00 Shipping on ebay. that might be a decent place to find more of these adapters.
