Playstation controller dead on my PC? Replacement?

Well, Windows 10 disabled Exclusive Mode so the DS4 controller is definitely NOT anywhere close to plug and play. There is a workaround though but it's messy:

well, for the games i play i haven't had to do anything but literally plug in my controller 😛


rocket league even auto detected it was a DS4 and changed the button prompts accordingly.

Been using DS4 on my PC (with SCP tool) but with Win 10 it doesn't really work.

what? DS4 is one of the most comfortable controllers I've used in decades, what's this mumble jumble about hands posture? You have tiny hands I see.

The Logitech F710, is one of the worst controllers I've used, sticks are way too stiff, it feels thick in the hands and triggers just don't feel right (and also too stiff).

READ THE THREAD before trying to go off on me. My hands are also normal sized, but thanks for playing. Your prize is labeling yourself ignorant. Because you can obviously draw conclusions about me based on a single post that you read out of context.

Side note, I agree that it's a comfortable controller.

The One controller is also comfortable.

As best I can tell this is only an issue in games that recognize both the native DS4 controller and the emulated XBox controller and provide no way to select between them. Closing DS4Windows in such games seems to fix the problem.

I was playing KOTOR2 and was pleasantly surprised to see Playstation button prompts on-screen.

I see. So in summary, the DS4 works perfectly fine in Windows 10?

I bought the DS4 controller and it just works right out of the box. I didn't even need to mess around with any kind of third party software or driver or key mapper. I'm only using the joysticks and buttons though - not the touchpad or anything else.
