I helped design it. I studied the alien technology, being a scientist working in top secret missions. Seriously though - very advanced. 20 years ahead of all other hardware.
What does this mean for you? Well - it has Windows-like OS support. So the person will be able to surf the web with inconceivably fast speeds. Multiple 1080p streams loaded from the web browser with little slowdown.
Also - the games will look very realistic, and also be very varied. With developers from all over the world working on it:
Poland - 2 titles, a futuristic, Bladerunner-like game and a roaming, open-world RPG, set in old times
Finland - Thief 4. A game about stealing.
Germany - Crysis 3/4
France - unknown title
England - several, from several developers, including Crytek UK, and Sony development studios in the UK
Japan - many from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and others
United States - too many to list
Canada - Ubisoft Montreal
Many games will have extremely realistic reality simulation and physics simulation effects. For instance, ocean-simulation, with waves, and air simulation - wind, clouds. The possibilities I see:
1. A fully explorable city. Previous generation hardware can't do that. Meaning a 10 square mile city, complete with rendered interiors for the houses, and 100,000 inhabitants.
2. True 1080p resolution games, 1920 x 1080, with anti-aliasing turned on.
3. Dual-screen true 1080p rendering.
4. Load the next level while the current level is running.
5. Full operating system support.
6. Full sea simulation. Dozens of square miles of sea, complete with waves and weather effects.
