So how is this game on the Playstation 3 console ? I own a copy of it for the PC, but never got very far in it due to the keyboard and mouse. But being a 3rd person type game, is it better on the PS3 ?

I picked up a copy of it today "I know, i'm late to the party" and a copy of Arkham City and Arkham Origins. Im "guessing" i'll like it better on a controller rather than a PC.

Could'nt find anything else on the PS3 to hold my attention, since I already own so many games, so decided to go with it.

Will be starting it tonight, hope I am not disappointed.

Well, I'm wondering why you didn't just play the game on your PC using a controller? That's what a lot of us did.

Anyway, they're great games and you'll lose a little visual punch not playing it on PC. It shouldn't affect gameplay at all though and you should have just as much fun regardless. I wouldn't play them all in a row though... it'd probably feel repetitive.

I know you can use a Xbox 360 controller for it, but I didnt have any. Nor at the time did I have a PS3 to use Motion Joy, or whatever it is called for the PS3 controller. And I just basically "tried it out" on PC anyway...barely went anywhere in it..just couldnt get use to the PC controls. Only bought it on PC cause for some reason, at the time my local Gamestop was selling it for $4.99

So yea, thats why :)

And what's stopping you from getting a controller/installing drivers now? You just don't want to game on PC?

Ah, that makes more sense then. It's definitely not a good kb/m game

It's a moot point now, he already has them all on ps3.

PC games = 1st person shooters.
Console games = Anything except 1st person shooters.

IMO...PC controls are no where near good enough for Batman "at least for me", as most of my PS3 library are 3rd person. I have a library of over 150 physical copies of PC games...and id guess that probably 95% of those, are shooters.

Some people are great with shooter games on consoles with analog sticks...im just not one of them. And the same goes for me, a game that needs a controller, I simply cannot get used to that. Like Devil May Cry 4 on the PC. I bought that on Steam and tried with KB/mouse....ugh.....totally horrible. Some can...some cant.

The PC version was still using SecuROM and had an install limit. That reason alone is why I'd get it for PS3 even if the graphics aren't as good. I think they did strip the DRM off the Steam version recently, but don't quote me on that.

I agree some games aren't suited for a keyboard/mouse, but you can use console controllers on a PC so there's really no line separating the platforms. I plug in my xbox360 gamepad into my PC, Batman AA for PC is already pre-setup for it, no messing with drivers or configuring the game for the gamepad is necessary. Same thing with playing Street Fighter 4 on my PC with a xbox360 joystick.

I'd hope Microsoft made using PS3 controllers in Windows just as easy to promote gaming in Windows but I'm not sure as I never tried it.

Microsoft has nothing to do with that. If Sony wants their controller to work on a PC they should make the drivers for it. Since they don't bother, it's obvious Sony doesn't see PC gaming as a way to sell more accessories. It might be true that it's not worth their time, but I'm not sure what it would take to make drivers that worked properly.

So, uh, use a controller?

I don't know if you were getting a PS3 regardless, but it would have been a heck of a lot cheaper to just buy a controller. Your mentality on this issue is weird.

I've played all three of those Batman games on PC, with my 360 controller with no issues. Same with SR3, Tomb Raider, and a ton of other ports. If the controller suits me, I use it. You're not restricted to kb/m just becuase you're on a PC. So yes, PC controls are just fine with those kinds of games, because "PC controls" includes controllers.

And if you didn't want to buy a 360 controller, there are plenty of other DirectInput compatible controllers.
