Playstation 2 price drop?

I've been eyeing the PS2 for some time now and I've been scanning ebay and refurb sites. My problem has been that once I get everything I want (the second controller, memory card vertical stand, dvd remote, wireless adaptor, network adaptor and a couple of games), the price starts to climb very quickly.

I've read on a few sites rumors that the PS2 is going to drop to $99 in Nov. before the holiday. Do you think there is any truth to this? Do you think there will be dramtic price drop in the online bundles sold in costco or someplace like that (which in my opinion, is the best deal other than ebay). The people here seem to be in the know about something like this. Thanks.

I'd believe $149, but I don't think that will happen until April of next year, unless MS drops the price on the X-box.

I only want it for GT4 too. lol. I'll get some other games eventually too probably but I mostly want PS2 just for Gt4 just for the 2002's in it 🙂

Sony send they have no intentions of price drop, though I think they said they plan on bundles for the holiday season. Though I tend to believe it'll go down to $149...

I've heard that rumor as well... but somehow I think Sony doesn't care as it still has market dominance. They'll prolly keep the price relatively the same and add more stuff to it like they did with the network adapter and next step is prolly a small HD.
