Playoff Roster Rules for different sports

Which sports are you allowed to change rosters during the playoffs?

what is the number of players allowed on your roster compared to the regular season for each sport?

I think you should be able to replace injured players between series if you have another player that is not on the active roster that was on your team during the season

They allow lots of spots on the active roster for a reason.. theres not just 5 spots on basketball, 22 for football, or 10 for baseball... you plan ahead for needing whoever you might need.

ah found baseball

A team's roster may consist of 40 players until Opening Day, when the number must be reduced to 25 until September 1st, when it again becomes 40.

so there is no way in hell u would need more then that

answering my own ?

basketball-

Because there is no Injured List for the NBA Playoffs, each playoff team must designate the 12 players eligible for the playoffs from all of its regular season lists (Active, Injured and Suspended).

Teams must have at least nine eligible players dressed and able to play in a playoff game. Teams failing to comply are subject to fines.

Asking because the Laker situation? I feel your pain. Pretty much sucks that they can't get Karl Malone right now huh.

The rule is there so that players that are not gonna make the playoffs cant just switch to another team that will make or already is in the playoffs.

is there any other "major" sport other than College Football that does not have a Playoff?

and that could easily change in the next few years as well
