Playlists from ipod to itunes

So I recently discovered I can set just certain playlists to sync when I plug my ipod in, which is great because I've always had a few playlists on my iPod that I've just dragged songs onto, but then never had the playlists on my computer. So now that I know this, is there a way to copy these playlists onto my computer or do I have to just go find every song and drag it into a playlist so I can start dragging the songs onto the playlist on my MBP and then have them sync to my touch?

When you next connect your Touch, it will appear in the sidebar of iTunes. From there you can browse its music and should be able to copy the playlist over, or at least get the song list.

But you can't just drag and drop music from your touch to your comp, that's my problem. I don't know how to copy the playlist from touch to MBP.

Ok, here comes my next question, how are you creating your playlists? I just got Tyranicus' old iPhone and have been playing with and still trying to figure out all the tricks.

When I created a new Genius playlist on my iPhone (OS 3.0) it automatically showed up in my MacBook's playlist list.

But these were playlists I originally had on my computer and dragged them onto my touch, but I accidentally deleted them since then. So now I want to take the playlists and copy them back onto my computer so I have them on there also and can just add the songs to the playlists on my mac and have them automatically sync to my ipod instead of putting them on both individually.

Hrm, I am not sure what to tell you then. Have you tried YamiPod or Senuti? One of them works with the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Well, I've used senuti before, but will that copy all the music onto my comp again? Or just the playlists? When I used it I used it to remove music I didn't have. I already have all this music on my comp, its just not put into the same playlists as on my touch

You should be able to pull the playlists off, I seem to remember it working in the past.

I couldn't find a way to just get the playlists recently after doing a full reformat of my PC. Every tool I used including Yami wanted to copy the songs within the playlist. I'll be curious to see if you find a solution.
