I just got a cd recorder deck for my home theater and I am playing around with it, so far I have recorded tv/radio/vcr/video game/cassette/ and turntable to cd, and my receiver has a usb port so I can also record anything on my computer to the deck as well as mix multiple inputs and even throw in a mic if I felt like it :D

gonna need more cd's so I can copy all of my old records to cd :D

edited title for clarity

I got this one JVC XL-R5010bk from Ubid for $174.00/$201.00 shipped, seemed like a good deal and all my other home theater components are JVC (TV,Receiver,DVD,VCR) so I can use their "compulink" system with it.

cool. what format does it record video in? how about audio? In what way does it burn them? Is it stored and then burned? or real time?

sounds cool. Those sort of things are the future.

whoops, I guess I wasnt clear, I am talking about audio only.

It records to standard .CDA files like any audio cd and it does it on the fly, I recorded 80 minutes of audio from a movie while I was watching it (from my vcr) pretty cool for grabbing sound bites like this one "She was a whore" from "the road to wellville"
