Playing video with x800 pro

I just recently installed an x800pro with catalyst 5.9. When ever i play video, there is significant skipping, as if there are many things running in the back. What could this be, i didn't have this problem with the integrated graphic before the card.

Thanks for any help.

Also these gitters seem to happen only when playing large video files, like movies, dvd-rips, and larger files. I dont think its the hd.

The movies also seem to have more grain to them.

I have no such problems with my X800pro beyond the limits of my monitor. Perhaps you need to enable hardware support or write combining. or disable them. try it.

System specs?

That could be a number of problems. Do you have a number of programs running in the background? What's your RAM usage like? Do you have at least a passable CPU?

What program are you watching video in and what type of videos are you watching (DVD/Quicktime .Mov/MPEG/DIVX)?

I get no skipping on an X850XTPE, and got no skipping on my X800XL and X800 Pro, so it's not inherent to the card.

What card did you have before the X800? Did you uninstall the old drivers before putting the new card in? Did you make sure to remove all traces with the program Driver Cleaner Pro ?
