Playing Super Mario Bros 3

😀

My girlfriend and I setup my nintendo and played for a couple of weeks a while back. We would leave it on 24/7 and just "save" our games that way. 😉

We got to world 7.. but then lost interest.. lol

World 7 is kinda hard, no? 😉

I just setup emu and mario allstars. My SNES is in TX gathering dust, but, wanted to play. EMU Works AWESOME, (my gravis controller leaves a bit to be desired, but, close enough). Anyway, was re-playing SMB3 and really enjoying it. Switched over to zelda for a bit... but will probably finish up SMB3 again this weekend.

Dude...
ZSNES: Free
ROMs: Free (and since I used to own the games I don't feel bad)
Gamepad: $10 to $40
Bopping Bowser on the head and saving the princess: priceless

Didn't you like how in SMB that Bowser was the exact same after each world? Well I sorted of expected him in a diferent form or something at the very end though.......

He wasn't exactly the same... or at least the place they fought in wasn't the same, some had ledges, some had wind, etc...

Actually, in SMB 3, you can't bob Bowser on the head. You have to dodge him while he jumps, as every time he jumps, he breaks some bricks below him. Ultimately he breaks enough bricks that he falls to his doom.

OK, bopping the Koopas on their heads.

I"m stuck in world 6 right now.......dang............I hate it that if you die, they make you start at level 1........even if you save.

I dont understand....I have smb all stars, and when I save, it still makes me go through all the levels again. It saves and remembers when I beat a castle, but I still have to start at level 1 of the world after I die........

Save state, as in a save file from an emulator that saves it at the point you tell it to.

oh.........haha...damn.

In all stars, choosing 'save and continue' as an option IN smb3, I can go back to the beginning of a level (1..8) if I loose all my lives. I tested that. You do have to choose 'save and quit or save and continue' for ti to do that.

Perhaps in your non-emu SMB3 the battery is dead/dying and it's not saving the games.
