Playing on buying dvd burner......will RAID0? or RAID HELP?

DVD ripping, re-encoding takes hell of a long time and from what I read it seems that RAID will significantly drop the time that it takes to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments to help me out? I know reliability of RAID0 can be an issue (if crashes occur,etc.).....

I'm thinking of setting up a new computer system with raid0 if it can cut the time it takes down significantly.

I doubt RAID would help much, SCSI HDD would have a better chance, but SCSI costs a lot...

neither will be worth the performace increase.. if any. dvd encoding is highly cpu dependant.

ripping will depend on the burner.

dual cpu works best.. depending on how you encode.. not everything supports it (doom9 is a good place to get info).
