Playing older games (DOS) on windows ME

OK.... So I wanna play Privateer (and Privateer: Righteous Fire)... and Crusader No Remorse.... They both want extended memory, and probabally wanna run in a real dos mode or a full screen.... Anyone got any tips ? Please go into as much detail as possible as to how to do this, when I searched on google i found threads on old forums from like 2001 that were extremely vague....

you can go to www.bootdisk.com and get a DOS boot disk. Your drive is probably FAT32 so you'd need a Win98 DOS disk.

If you use something like Partition Magic to shrink C: down a little and make a FAT16 partition for D: then you could use a DOS 6 boot disk -- it could see D: though not C:

(ed) or ME can probably make a "recovery" floppy if you go to Windows help. If so you probably want to delete the compressed-drive sys file from the disk since it steals precioussss low memory.
