Playing Multi games on router

I got a couple comps with XP running on a Linksys router. Whenever we try to play multiplayer at the same time, most (cept mine 😛) would disconnect from games/network like esp War3. I'm using forwarding but it doesn't seem to work half the time. I upgrade my router firmware all the time, but it doesn't seem to help. I hear some other people get similar problems. Would maybe a different router help? (i have a Siemens lying around).

If you're trying to connect to the same server, then some games don't allow a 2nd connection from the same IP address. Some servers see that you're already there and don't let it in, or others will kick the first person to join, thinking that it's the same person, but who's computer crashed and is coming back in.

However, some games/servers will allow you into the same servers. I did this on a CS server with a friend round my house, and we were both in the server and doing well, me being 1st on the map and her being 2nd on the map! 😉
