Hey folks, anyone around here know how to play MOV files under linux? I have some training files i want to watch, but I am not sure what Player under linux will run these.

Appreciate anyone's help on this.

Thanks!

.mov files are quicktime movies, right?

most movie player can play it. Try Xine. Others are Totem and Mplayer. You do need to have the codecs to play them installed though. If you don't have them installed look for a rpm/whatever package to install called win32-codecs. Depends on what distro your using for the exact package to install.

Hey thanks a bunch. I love this community....

I am going to be running Linux (Mandrake 10.1 Community Release) on my other computer, whcih will be for doing pure web surfing, and research. I will give your suggestions a try, I just needed to know in advance. Thanks!
