playing ghost recon advanced warfighter

You might be susceptible to some kind of seizures; this could be the early warning sign. Possibly the combination of the game/tv/and game machine, have you tried a completely different TV.

Your eyes and brain pick up flashes that you don't consciously detect.

I am not saying you are going to have a seizure but try a different TV, and see what happens.

Try different viewing distances too.

EDIT: OPPS I just realized you could be talking about the computer version. In that case try changing monitors or refresh rate, also viewing distance.

... I remember Doom on the super nintendo, I nearly thew up while watching my brother play the game back in the later 90's.

I played Metroid Prime on the GC console, one of the best graphics I've ever seen on a console at the time. I loved it because the frames were so smooth and the dynamics of the screen, everything shifted at the right time, it made me not get sick.

for some reason, I don't get too head achy with BF2 and UT2004, but both give me minor head aches to the point where it feels like a hang over... easy way to do it without the alcohal. anyhow, I played it on an X800 Pro AGP8x card, P4, it's even worse...

I think you may be right about the viewing distance. my brain can barely keep up with the fast moving frames.
