Playing Games on Card

I have a GeForce FX Go5200. I am having trouble running Halo on my Toshiba Laptop. It seems the framerate is really low. I have to set all the settings to run it decently. Would it be that my laptop is not capable of running Halo in full extent?

I have downloaded the latest driver.

Halo pretty much runs like crap on my x800 pro/amd64 3200+ rig, it was terribly ported (cough microsoft cough) so I wouldn't be suprised if that's not enuff to run it with.

If you havent guessed I have the Toshiba M30, 1.5Ghz, 516RAM laptob. Should this be good to run Doom 3 or Half Life 2? most of the new games? I dont want to purchase computer games if my laptop cannot handle them.

You have a geForce 5200, and a downclocked (possibly 64-bit) mobile variant of it. You will not be running any "new games" like D3/HL2?FarCry at anything higher that 640x480x16 with all the details reduced to the point of an Etch-A-Sketch.
