Hello again I am also having issues playing DVD movies on my PC as well due to every now and then it will hiccup and skip forward by a few secounds, I dont know why its doing this especially since it just started and I have been playing DVD's for a wile now on the same rig, am using a relitivly new Lite On 16X DVD and GfFX 5200 video card (soon to be a Radeon 9600 Pro on Monday ) and I am using WinDVD 5 Platinum Also when playing certain disks (mostly anime) every time a scene flips I get some sort of line across the bottom of my screen. Anyway any help on this matter would help a lot. Thanks

I have a similar problem playing DVD's. The screen will freeze for a second and then continue, while the sound continues smoothly. It does this maybe twice in a movie. I think its the DVD player because its done this through three different video cards, MB's and CPU's.

Hm... odd. Try updating to the newest detonator (nvidia) or catalyst (ati) drivers?

A relatively new video card shouldn't do this, unless it's a codec or driver issue. Try getting the latest video codecs by running media player and doing a manual update or uninstall WinDVD and reinstalling it again.
