You could get him TF2, and let him spend his time as a full-time medic on you. That always generates a sense of loyalty and trust.

I recently installed COD4 on my dads PC. I'm certain this is his first FPS he's ever played. No way I would have him play mulitplayer yet, that's just asking for frustration.

He actually beat COD4 in about a week on the Rookie or whatever the easiest setting is. Walking him through some of that was frustrating enough for me. He still can't handle WASD very well but is playing through the game again.

i used to play with an exgf's dad. it was cod2. he wasn't good at using the keyboard so i would tell him to just camp and shoot!

he did awesome at that. we would play 1v1 spending 5 minutes hunting each other down on brecourt. it was a lot of fun and it wasn't hard for him.

That does not keep you from installing Windows on it if it is an Intel mac. Checkout BootCamp, should increase accessibility to games.

I'm now wondering why I didn't install bootcamp with Vista like... a year ago.

Teach him how to duck and cover. CoD4 requires very deliberate movement to stay alive in mp. Hug those walls, crouch and peak around corners before running in like a soon-to-be-dead Rambo is my advice.

He downloaded bootcamp. I'm installing Vista Ultimate this weekend, and loading TF2 on it first thing. I think TF2 would be MUCH more suitable for him...

Thanks for all the input everyone - I'll keep updating. Any more advice welcome.
