Playing a DVD+R formatted DVD

While my present DVD-ROM is compatible with only DVD-R formatted DVDs I have accidentally ordered and received two DVD+R DVDs. Is there any way to play these on my current DVD-ROM (Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-106)?

Thanks for any advice.
 
ran in to the same prob,solved it by buying another dvd player that supports dvd +/-,svideo and others
