This was by far the best Mothers Day I have ever had... I finally got to go to my first Airsoft game last Sunday and had a blast. Got winded and overheated the first game though... geesh I'm outa shape! LOL

I had sooo much fun. I purchased my first side arm a KJW M9 (Full Metal Version) it registered on the meter at 332 fps...! Sweet! and I borrowed an MP5 for the field that had been upgraded and shot really well. My son and CVSIN had a blast and and were on the opposing team. Of course I kept getting shot and had to respawn. Didn't know that I was only suppose to have like 3 lives... till after the 5 time someone finally said, uh, Kat I think you are out of the game now hun, you used up your lives. I said, oh? I thought Kat's had 9 lives.... har har har!

There was a lady there named Shadow she was really cool and she teaches sneaking and sniping tactics and all the guys always get picked off by her. She took me through the woods and the whole field. I took my camera and she showed me how to get within feet of some of the guys during the game and they didn't even know we were right next to them! LOL

I am officially hooked now. But gotta tell ya, I am sore as heck all over. Well, back to the gym for me.

Just bought my rifle today, it's a Classic Army HK CA33E... !

I've seen airsoft guns but have never heard of official scenario type games. Wish something like this had been out or more popular if it was back when I was younger.

Got shot in the neck and ear a couple of times from all the suppressive fire, and it stings like heck... but it is tolerable. But your adrenaline is going and you are really pumped so your really not focusing so much on pain. I had a ton of bug bites and stings too, but didn't notice till I got home and took off the clothes and gear... I had been crawling in the dense brush and hiding in the wooded areas trying to pick off people. I literally felt like I was in a war zone. I was sweating my butt off in all that gear and I now understand why the marines, army, ect., wear all that clothing. Bugs crawl all over you, and thorns and branches from trees and such prick and scrape the heck out of ya when you are making your way through the woods.

Did you aim for the head?

Nope, they have rules that say if at all possible aim for the torso or legs for safety reasons. And if you come up on your enemy behind them, you yell "surrend, or I will shoot", and if they don't you get to fire on them, till they surrender.

Huh? Well when your enemy is more than 30 to 40 feet away your gonna need that 300 to 400 fps with a long barrelled rifle for sniping, trust me!;)

Very cool. How accurate are airsoft guns? I'm assuming you get what you pay for?

Yes, you do get what you pay for. What I have found is that the higher end / Top Grade guns that seem to shoot the most accurate and are more durable are your Tokyo Mauri's, Classic Army, and ICS models. SRC's are just ok, but do have a propencity to break down early on. But these top grade guns are upgradable and that's what makes them so cool. You can buy the internal metal parts that will make them shoot harder, faster, and more accurate. Buy it stock, then upgrade. Some of the guns that we shot out on the field were just incredible, even though they only shoot plastic BB's they shoot really far up too 100 or more feet depending on the gun. The sniper guns are incredible cool! They are exact replica's of the real deal. But because they are exact replica's and can be hazardous they do come under some pretty extreme usage laws.

The AK 47's are great guns, The SIG's, MP5's, and G3's are really cool. There is this one team that has several SAW's (249 MK2's)...

He was cracking a joke about frames per second v.s. feet per second

Some believe 60 frames per second is the upper limit of human sight.

Valkyrie, where was this at in the Houston area?

They have a field out in Sugar Land off of 59 and Williams Way... it is used sometimes for paintball then at other times they utilize it for the airsoft games.

Here is the site if you want to visit it www.houstonairsoftgames.com

Thanks. While I'm sure my wife wouldn't do this, I know two of my boys would love it.
