Playcentric.com charged my credit card for a backordered item?

WTF?? I've ordered from them before with no problem, but I ordered Batman Returns from them the other day. It showed up in stock when I placed my order so I went ahead with it. Couple days go by and I still get no confirmation. I get kinda anxious so I go check my order status to see if they shipped it and all of a sudden it's on Backorder...uhhh, OK. That's the exact reason why I cancelled my order at DeepDiscountDVD. OK, so I decide to wait it out at Playcentric anyway and wait for the backorder.

So today, I'm checking my CC status online and I have a charge for Playcentric.com for $13.02. WTF?? It STILL hasn't shipped, still shows up as backordered, and they even sent me an email this afternoon to say that it is backordered. Why the hell do I have an actual CHARGE on my CC (not a holding charge, an actual charge) if they haven't even shipped yet???

Ordered a mobo and a dvd drive from MWave Tuesday night. Both items show in stock.
Receive order confirmation
Next day receive CC charge confirmation and processing
Later in the afternoon receive my shipping information and tracking number
Then this afternoon I get an email saying that the dvd drive is backordered

WTF? Whe the FVCK tell me that it's shipped, then a day later say, "oops, dvd wasn't shipped". Pissed me right off. Called them up and asked about it. They said that it would ship as soon as they get it. I asked when it would be in and they said they didn't know. I asked if they were just going to let it sit on my credit card until it got in. The guy didn't answer. Told him to cancel the order. On top of that I paid 2nd day shipping. Told them to refund the dvd price and the difference between what I paid for 2nd day shipping, and what it would have been for shipping the mobo by regular ground. Doesn't do me any good if I don't have all the stuff when I need it.

I have always stuck up for mwave, they have been great. Hopefully it was just an oversight. What pissed me off more was that I looked on the page and it still shows in stock.

I just received an order of DVD's from playcentric.com yesterday, it still shows as processing on the tracking order page, whatever I'm happy. All were in stock. I haven't received a confirmation email yet either. After about 4 days I did receive a reply to my non-shipping related email to customer service while the email was screwed up they did actually address the issue effectively. I'm not sure about backorders but they do say preorders are charged at time of order not when shipped, so I'd never buy a preorder, at least not much ahead from them. Love those coupons
