Playboy is really only about "that much more over the top" than mags like Maxim and Stuff..and that other mag...KVM...MXV or somethign like that.

What killed Playboy? Easy. Online pr0N. Why pay $8 for a mag that the women aren't even naked, when you can get vids for free?

I subscribe to Playboy...its a really good mag...the pictures are ok if thats what you are into, but I really like the articles....Asa Barber is one of the brightest writers out there, the Raw Data feature always astounds me, I always learn something from the advisor, and the party jokes never fail to make me laugh. It is worth the 20 bucks or so a year....all that being said, I subscribe to something like 7 different magazines, and the increase of online porn hasnt affected my love for the magazines that I do subscribe to

I get Playboy for free because of a deal I found in the Hot Deals forum. Not enough nudity as it is and it's highly airbrushed. But the price is right.

Basically what it comes down to is that Maxim is spanking playboy in sales because IT DOESN'T have nudity(or at least total nudity). It's more publically acceptable and can be sold in more markets without a lot of heads turning.

As a subscriber, I don't know what to think. I guess if I had wanted Maxim, I would have ordered Maxim. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Playboy during, and after this transition.
