dont know.. what do you mean by Type 7301..
If that is the model number, I have to check.

I believe the PS2 looks totally different from PS1

Sony is re-releasing it´s original PSX as the Playstation 1 in a smaller case and at a nice price worldwide this year. They tend to "cash in" with those budget titles that will be available then for PSX

Maybe u mean this?

Hmmm, the PS2 is a totally new system, but retains compatibility with old PSX software because its I/O chip is the same one used as the original PSX's main CPU.

The PSX 7301 must be one of Sony's several model revisions of the PSX. Not associated with the upcoming PS2 in any way.

Rellik: The so-called small case can actually be considered a portable PSX, but you have to buy the TFT screen seperately, and there is no built-in controller like the ones you see on GameBoy, NeoGeo Pocket, and Wonder Swan, but of course, you can plug in the oh so good PSX Dual Shock controller. The thing doesnt come in a nice price either, $149.99, thats 50% more expensive than regular PSX!

At least they'll have a cigarette adaptor for the PS ONE so you can play in the car w/o an AC inverter. That is, if they put in some sort of antishock, because all we PS owners know that the PS doesn't like vibration. Not one bit =p

All the PS2 types are 5 digits, 10k and 15k, if I remember correctly.

Hmm... Thanks guys. I guess that means it is not PS2 then huh? Probably some variation on PS1. I also heard about 7000 and 7500, but never this kind of weird type.

Thanks a lot.
