I really don't think it's in my mind. I am seeing a lot of SUVs for sale now on the side of the road and along main routes. Not all old, either. I think I saw a Lexus and definitely a relatively new Toyota (they wanted $20k, no free gas rebate, though ).

I know ford and other brands are cutting back big truck sales, but damn what a time to buy an SUV if you really want one or don't drive much or think gas is going to go down in the near future.

it should be mentioned, I have been a wrongful victim of this game on more than one occasion

The funny thing is that when you factor in inflation and economies, the gas mileage of an SUV is still probably better than the cars in the 1960s that were true gas guzzlers. *8-10 mpg. Some SUVs can get 15-20mpg....that's not all that bad considering the cargo space.
