Ok, here is the situation.

First, I am a hockey goalie in case no one has read my journal. Playoffs are this coming weekend. In the last two sessions, I am a two time champion. This Saturday, I get a chance to take my third straight with a different team. So now I get a chance to three-peat. I am very excited about the prospect. First game would be at 2:00pm, and if we made it to the finals, that game would be at 6:30 and last till 7:15. I have a backup goalie who would play for me if I was unavailable to play.

However, on Saturday night at 7:00pm, there is a big college hockey game about an hour away in Big Rapids, MI. I am a freelance photographer and story writer for uscho.com which is an ESPN affiliate. I have a replacement reporter going to the game for me so that part is covered. This game is a huge game and is always the most fun to go to. The game has been sold out for close to 3 months and the place will be rockin. Both teams are nationally ranked and number 1 and 2 in the division.

So now I have to decide what to do. I am going to play the early game, but if we make it to the finals, I have to decide what to do. I can play, and then head up to the game after my game is over. If I get out of there at 7:30, I will make it up there at 8:30 which would get me to see the at least half the game.

This is such a tough decision to make, but after typing this, I feel the best thing to do is defend my title and then rush up there after my game to take pictures.

What are your thoughts?

That is my thought. If I bypassed the opportunity to play and lift that trophy, I would never forgive myself if we won it all. To be a champion is a great accomplishment.

Then there is the off chance that this team may not make it to the finals, but that seems like a slim chance because of the overall record and skill on the team.
