I have problem playing DVD on my new notebook. I keep on getting following message. I am using Interactive Player. I used compatibility tab to change but of no use.

"Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. Lowering your screen resolution or color depth may fix the problem"

HAve u ever played it on that notebook before? I had same problem using interactual. The problem is you are missing the DVD codec ( I think it is the coded, if not, then it is called something else) Anyway, You pretty much have to pay for (or whatever) a program that has it like WIndvd, once I did that, all was well.
