Plastic in Power Supply

I just got my new Enlight 7237OX3C4 off of Newegg.com and I looked at the bottom of the PS. It has a grill for air flow...w00t, but the weird thing is that there is a plastic cover-type thing inside the PS. It is blocking the grill for the air. I dont understand why it is there. I mean it must be there on purpose, for it is INSIDE the PS, but it seems like it would nullify the purpose of that air flow grill... any thoughts?
