I think this game is actually more CPU limited than GPU, considering the huge amount of particles and physics calculated. Also, theres a small difference between mine and allies FPS, showing that higher CPU speeds does have an affect on frame rate.

As far as I remember the particles and physics are done on the gpu.

Freakin' sweet 😀

I turned all the sliders up to max @ 1600x1200, & it was getting 46 fps, & looked gorgeous 😀

CPU usage never got to 100% on my E6600 @ 3.5 GHz.

It got to around 65-70% on one core at most, though it did spike to 100% on both for a second.

Barely used any RAM either.

So i'm inclined to say this is somewhat CPU dependent, but largely GPU bound.

I set everything back to defaults with resolution @ 1600x1200, & i was averaging 105 fps...

So how is my X1900 XT pwning your 8800 GTXs?

ATi hardware better for this?
More pixel shaders = better?

got owned on my 8800GTS @ 600/2000......only around 30ish-40 at 1280x1024.

Uhm... everything at max 1650x1080 = 50 FPS for me... unless it gets a lot worse after level 22ish

Edit: My 8800 gets 120FPS with stock settings at 1600x1200.

Yes that's stock @ 1600x1200, so i guess i pwn nothing 🙁😛
At maxed (all the details sliders up) i get 46 fps.
Screenie taken w/ Fraps, which agrees with the ingame fps counter btw.

Thanks OP, it was a pretty fun game. After level 25 I think that there's serious slowdown, I was only getting around 30fps on a 7900GT.
