Plasma Panel Stands

So with apartment living, we can't really mount our plasma to the wall. I thought a good solution would be maybe something like this from Costco.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge about this? I was wondering if:
1. Does the panel itself need to be secured to the wall?
2. Can you put an arm that extends on the panel instead of a standard wall mount for a 58" plasma?

It looks pretty interesting since we could also just hide the cables through the panel itself and put them out of site (and out of mind).

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂 Thanks in advance.

There is no way you could attach an articulating arm mount of the back of that furniture piece.

An articulating arm mount for a 58" TV would have to be securely attached to two or more studs with some heavy hardware.

Seeing my tv attached to a tiny arm would make me nervous.
